"MODAPTS" is a system for measuring work - sometimes called "time & motion" without the use of the stopwatch. Around the world many people are working in safer, better and more effective workplaces because of improvements which have been developed from work analysis with "MODAPTS". "MODAPTS" also helps with functional testing, rehabilitation and placement of disabled or injured workers because of a derivative called Workability and other para medical applications. “MODAPTS” refer to MODular Arrangement of Predetermined Time Standards. First conceived by a group led by Chris Heyde in Sydney Australia in 1966, "MODAPTS" quickly found wide use in Australia in many business/government activities. By the early 70's "MODAPTS" was in use in many USA banks (eg: 10 Major Banks in New York City were using Office "MODAPTS" by 1980) and other industries, then training was carried to Russia , Europe and later Japan . In the 80's Northern China, South Africa , and South Korean organisations saw the benefits of "MODAPTS" for ergonomic applications as well as for time standards. Large automotive/automotive suppliers, postal/telephone organisations, insurance companies, banks and distribution warehouses are "MODAPTS" users today. Many use MOD++; "MODAPTS" for Windows (1996), for example; Ford Motor and the UAW International after successs in the USA within approximately 10 plants, are now spreading their skills to Ford plants in Europe. |
