Chessington Occupational Therapy Neurological Assessment Battery (COTNAB)

  • Description:

  • For the assessment of patients with brain injury and strokes.

  • COTNAB is a fully validated battery of tests for the assessment of functional and perceptual dysfunction with neurological patients aged 16 upwards.

    It tests the four functional areas mentioned below, with each including 3 tests of increasing sensitivity (12 tests in total).

Each test is scored for Ability and Time which are combined to give a measure of Overall Performance and a Functional Profile summary.

Each test has been standardized against a “normal” population of males and females in the age ranges “16 – 65” and “65 + “ for comparison with patients’ test scores and has been validated against a group of head injured and stroke patients.
